The inspiration for Simplify came when founder, Amanda Hughes, lived in South Africa to care for eight young girls orphaned due to the AIDS pandemic. During her time there, stripped of her material possessions, she learned the joy of living a simple life. While there, Amanda worked with the girls to help transform their house into a home - working with them to personalize their home through paint colors and bedding - showing them how to make big changes with little to no budget. Witnessing the power that organizing and design can have on a person's emotions, Amanda decided to transform her passion into a career. After returning to the States, she studied interior design and channeled her passion into her current firm, Simplify. Since 2008, she and her team have worked one-on-one with clients to organize and design their homes into peaceful, efficient sanctuaries.
